Brooksville Events & Community
For a small town, Brooksville punches above its weight on events. Friday Night Live fills Hernando Park with music on the second Friday of most months. The Tangerine Festival brought something new to February. And when the holidays hit, the water tower drops a tangerine instead of a ball.
Signature Events
Tangerine Festival — February. Live music on two stages, car show, food vendors. Free admission and parking. Inaugural event in 2025.
Friday Night Live Concert Series — Second Friday of the month (March through November, excluding summer). Live music, artisan market, food, and full bar in Hernando Park. 6:30-9:30 PM.
Christmas on Main — First Saturday of December. Tree lighting ceremony and festival.
Tangerine Ball Drop — December 31st at the water tower. New Year's Eve celebration, 6 PM to 1 AM.
Through the Year
- Spring: Tangerine Festival (February), Friday Night Live resumes.
- Summer: Friday Night Live on break. Downtown Street Market continues.
- Fall: Friday Night Live returns. Downtown Street Market. Best weather for events.
- Winter: Christmas on Main, Family Sensory Christmas Celebration, Tangerine Ball Drop.

Where Things Happen
Hernando Park at 205 E Ft Dade Ave hosts Friday Night Live and most outdoor events. The water tower area handles New Year's. Main Street and S Brooksville Avenue close for markets and festivals. Courthouse Square anchors community gatherings.
