The trolley in Downtown New Port Richey is now active!Shopping and dining downtown just got a little more convenient. Photo by Ella Cowen | Better Business NetworkAs the city continues to grow and businesses multiply, accessible parking is becoming harder to find. To combat the stress of street parking, the new parking area on the corner of Main and US 19 is now open every day from 7:30 am to midnight. It is a short stroll from the parking structure to visit the downtown area. For those who prefer to forgo the walk, there is now an 11 passenger, fully ADA accessible electric-powered trolley making the rounds from the garage to the city center. Rides on the DART (Downtown Area Roundabout Trolley) are free and are available Thursdays and Fridays from 5:00 p.m. until midnight, Saturdays from noon until midnight, and Sundays from noon until 6:00 p.m. The trolley has five stops, from the Shops at Stonehaven to Main Street West of River Road. Special events and holidays may change the operating schedule of the trolley. The City of New Port Richey hopes that providing free, convenient access to parking will encourage locals to experience all that our beautiful downtown has to offer.By Elizabeth CramtonWant to discover more of what Downtown New Port Richey has to offer?Visit us on Facebook @DowntownNPR
