Claiming Your Existing Business Profile
Already see your business on Downtown+ but don't have access to manage it? Here's how to claim ownership.
Prerequisites
You'll need a Downtown+ account to claim a business profile. Visit the Contribute page to sign in or create an account.

Why Claim Your Profile?
When you claim your business profile, you can:
- Update business information anytime
- Host events
- Add new photos and content
- See profile views
- Verify and post deals
How to Claim
There are two ways to start the claim process:
Option 1: Claim from Business Profile Page
Step 1: Sign In
- Make sure you're signed in to your Downtown+ account
- If you don't have an account yet, see the Prerequisites section above
Step 2: Find Your Profile
- Search for your business name on the profiles page
- Navigate to your business profile page
Step 3: Click "Claim This Business"
- Look for the claim button on your profile
- This will initiate the claim process
Option 2: Claim from "Add Profile" Section
Step 1: Go to Your Dashboard
- Navigate to your Dashboard from the Contribute page
- Make sure you're signed in
Step 2: Click "Add Profile"
- Click the "Add Profile" button in the Profiles card
- Select "Business Profile" from the modal
Step 3: Click "Claim Existing Business"
- Look for the "Claim Existing Business" button near the top of the form
- Search for your business by name
- Select your business from the search results
- The form will populate with your business's existing information
Verifying Ownership
Step 4: Verify Ownership
You'll need to prove you own or manage the business by providing documentation:
- Identification
- Articles of incorporation
Step 5: Submit for Review
- Our team reviews all claim requests manually
- Verification typically takes 2-4 business days
- You'll receive email confirmation of approval, pending status, or rejection
After Approval
Once your claim is approved:
- You'll have full editing access
- Update any outdated information
- Can verify the profile for more features
Security & Privacy
All verification documents are:
- Stored securely and privately
- Only accessible to administrators
- Never shared publicly
- Used solely for ownership verification
Already Have Multiple Businesses?
You can claim and manage multiple business profiles with a single account. Each business will have its own dedicated profile page.
